EGHAM 9th April 2008 – GN, a world leader in innovative headset solutions, has today announced plans to grow its reseller base in the UK by up to 20 per cent in 2008. GN will expand its already successful channel partner programme to focus on recruiting voice and IT resellers who sell and distribute unified communications solutions. By partnering with GN, voice and IT resellers can benefit from the profitable opportunities associated with bundling high-margin GN headsets with all unified communications solutions.
The move follows GN’s recent partnerships with unified communications specialists such as Microsoft, where a range of GN’s Jabra-branded headsets has been optimized for plug and play and wideband use with Microsoft Office Communicator 2007, which uses the power of software to deliver complete communications including messaging, voice and video. By offering Jabra headsets as part of a solution, Microsoft partners can help customers to maximise the sound quality of voip software applications. To date, GN is working closely with a raft of UC partners such as, Capgemini, ComputaCenter, CTI, Fujitsu services, HP, NEC Philips Unified Communications, Post and Probrand.
“With channel margins for hardware and software being squeezed ever more tightly, resellers are constantly looking for new and innovative ways to grow income,” commented Dale Peters, UK Country Manager, GN. “Jabra headsets that are compatible with unified communications solutions not only enhance the user experience but present the ideal revenue generator for partners. They are a small add-on to the complete cost of a unified comms system but with minimum installation and support required they can offer significant margins for all IT resellers.”
“Companies large and small are waking up to the cost-saving benefits that IP telephony can bring, which is why Gartner estimates that over the next four years businesses worldwide will buy more than 150 million IP phones,” commented Neil May, Managing Director, Post CTI. “Through a partnership with GN, we can give customers access to easy to use, elegant and discrete headsets that will help users make the most of IP communication and at the same time empower them with the freedom of true wireless connectivity.”
New partners joining GN’s channel programme will benefit from free training and dedicated sales personnel, sales and marketing support, access to an online partner portal, along with e-learning tools as well as discounted in-house and demonstration kit. All new partners can also join the Jabra Freedom VISA debit card incentive scheme that rewards our partners for selling Jabra products.
GN will continue to support its existing channel base by continuing to strengthen it’s channel teams and providing the right sales, marketing and support tools to support the channel.
